There are a lot of self-help gurus around, though Marty Seligman was serious about developing a positive psychology of health. He ultimately became the president of the American Psychological Association. His methods of aiming for happiness in life are worth investing in.

Testimony from a manager who goes along with the idea of using personality tests to select people likely to 'fit' a work environment -- though law would obligate companies using such tests to demonstrate validity to the instruments they use (this can rarely be done and is infrequently attempted by those skirting the law). The video describes an HR service which extends from "personality" to a map of more behavioral skills (which might be measureable?), and a consultant who apparently does up podcasts interpreting scores for individuals.
