Hilda Solis, a U.S. House Representative and Cal Poly graduate has been appointed as Secretary of Labor for the Obama administration. She stands tall for unions and all they’ve done for she and her family. With seven siblings, she is the daughter of migrants from Mexico and Nicaragua. There are a number of video clips featuring her on YouTube and elsewhere.
